I Invented the Modern Age: The Rise of Henry Ford - Best Price

Review : Every entrepreneur should read this book
As someone who has started several companies, and worked on other people's startups, I think this belongs on the must-read list for today's tech-centric entrepreneurs. A century ago, Henry Ford was wrestling with the same issues we face today -- and Richard Snow's lyrical writing makes the story come alive. I had no interest in the anti-Semitic Ford, or in cars, but as a fan of Richard Snow's I picked up this book and couldn't put it down. The author can explain machinery and science in a way that even I can grasp (and trust me, engineers I've worked with know that is not easy). And it's jam-packed with tidbits too delicious to miss, including the encounter with Thomas Edison who bangs his fist on the table and says "any gas motor was better than any electric motor could be -- it could go long distances, he said, and there would be stations to supply the cars with hydrocarbon." Tesla Motors could learn from this!

But in the early twentieth century the agent of creative destruction was the gasoline engine, as put to work by an unknown and relentlessly industrious young man named Henry Ford. Born the same year as the battle of Gettysburg, Ford died ...
