Review : Very practical book for me
My wife's e-mail got hacked about ten days ago, and that provided the impetus to finally tackle security issues for my Mac. I know I've been living on borrowed time.

Practical Paranoia arrived two days ago and I started to glance through it at lunch yesterday. Well, three hours later I had "glanced" through most of it. It is an easy read.

This book is exactly what I hoped for... a little bit of data to convince me one last time that I need to do this, a little anecdotal humor, and then explicit step by step instructions (screen shots) on everything I need to do to protect my computer and my data. Marc even provides "assignments" to make sure the "reader "gets it."

Not only are we instructed on ways to protect us from the evil outside, there are instructions to protect data from hardware malfunctions.

This is exactly the way I need to learn and do.
