The Art of Social Enterprise: Business as if People Mattered - on Amazon.com
Review : Invigorated longtime entrepreneur
As an entrepreneur and consultant with more than one start-up under my belt, I read The Art of Social Enterprise with great interest--I had known of Carl Frankel's work, and I always listen when he talks. The book is a really interesting and unusual combination of hard-headed, practical, lawyer-ish advice and softer guidance about wise decision-making and leadership. It's smart, it's savvy, and best of all it's well-written. It's a fun read with lots of illuminating insights about entrepreneurship generally and social enterprise specifically. I am a pretty experienced entrepreneur and I came away with a deeper and more useful understanding of the ins and outs of social enterprise. (And the highs and lows, too.) Highly recommended! Downright invigorating.
